Deb Halliday is a qualified trainer , author, and Co-Founder of APX Training & Development Company alongside Tim Seymour. Together, they are the authors of Advisory Teams, focused on helping accounting firms build scalable advisory services that go beyond the business owner.

She is also the founder of The Accounts Ladies, an award-winning accountancy, bookkeeping, and financial coaching firm. With over 17 years’ experience, Deb has helped business owners take control of their finances, improve profitability, and pay themselves properly.

Deb works closely with accountants, bookkeepers, and firm owners who want to move beyond compliance and develop advisory services that can be delivered consistently across a team, not just by one person.

In 2025, Deb stepped away from day-to-day accountancy to focus on training, speaking, and writing. Her work now centres on supporting firms to build advisory capability within their teams, creating businesses that are not reliant on the owner to deliver growth.

Through APX Training and The Accounts Office, Deb provides practical training, structured programmes, and ready-to-use resources to support the transition into advisory and the development of high-performing teams.

With a background in both accountancy and professional training, including experience at a Central London training company, Deb is known for her straightforward, practical approach, making complex financial concepts easy to understand and apply in real business situations.
